DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO LIMA

Upon arrival at the airport in Lima, received and assisted by our staff, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we have the city tour of Lima, also known as the “City of Kings” to discover the most important places of this city, the tour begins with the visit to the historic center: the Plaza San Martín, the Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, the Cathedral, the church of Santo Domingo. Visiting the Convent and Church of San Francisco, knowing this place means knowing the largest monumental set of Colonial Art in America. Later, visiting the modern part of Lima, you will arrive at the Parque del Amor, Barranco, San Isidro, El Olivar and Miraflores. Later return to the hotel.

DAY 2: LIMA – CUSCO

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to the city of Cusco, upon arrival you will be assisted at the hotel, the morning will be free to walk, in the afternoon we will visit to the ancient capital of the Inca empire and current archaeological capital of America. The visit begins in the Cathedral, which is decorated inside with many altarpieces in gold leaf as well as its paintings dating from the Cusco school, then continue through the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, where the remains of what was the temple of the sun, better known as Q’oricancha. Continuing we will visit the Inca archaeological complexes of Sacsauhuaman, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, strategically built on a hill overlooking the city of Cusco. Its enormous stone walls were carved and joined with precision in a surprising way. Some of these stones exceed 9 feet in height and weigh more than 100 tons. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3: CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIQUISCA

Pick up from your hotel and travel from Cusco to the town of Cachora (2,850m). In this place is encounter with muleteers and their mules. We will start the walk along a gently sloping path until we reach the pass of Capuliyoc (2,800m). From there we will have a spectacular and beautiful panoramic view towards the mountains that surround us and the Apurimac river canyon. We will have lunch at this stopping point. In the afternoon we will descend to our first Chiquisqa camp. Dinner and overnight. Hiking time 7 hours in a warm climate.

DAY 4: CHIQUISCA – PUENTE ROSALINA – MARAMPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO

After having breakfast, early in the morning we will start descending towards Puente Rosalina (1,500m), from this place we will start with the ascent to Santa Rosa (2 100m) instead of our lunch. We will continue with the arduous ascent towards Marampata (2,850 meters above sea level) from where we will have a beautiful view of Choquequirao and the enigmatic sunset. Choquequirao (3 033m) very close will be our second camp, dinner and overnight. 7 hours of walking in a hot and cold climate.

DAY 5: CHOQUEQUIRAO – MARAMPATA – CHIQUISCA

We will have breakfast very early, to observe the sunrise and the sunrise, on the archaeological attraction of Choquequirao, accompanied by the professional guide who will present the history and the recent excavations found on this important vestige. DAY 6: CHIQUISCA – CAPULIYOC – CUSCO

Last day of sunrise, we will be offered breakfast to continue with the ascent and return to Capuliyoc, continuing with the journey we will reach Cachora between 12:00 pm. Lunch. In the afternoon we will return to the city of Cusco.

Transport: Bus from Cachora to Cusco.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch included.

DAY 7: CUSCO – LIMA

This day will have the transfer from the hotel to the airport to board your flight to the capital city of Lima. To then board your International flight.

If the Customer cancels its booked Product more than 60 days prior to the Product start date, we will provide a full refund to the Customer. If the Customer cancels its booked product between 60-30 days prior to the Product start date, 50% of the total product costs will be forfeited. If the Customer cancels its booked product less than 30 days prior to the Product start date, 100% of the Product costs will be forfeited.
