Walk: Approximately 12kms
5 – 5.5 hours walking with breaks
Medium grade

The day starts in Launceston at the Hotel Grand Chancellor where you will meet our guides at 8.45am for a 9.00am departure for our transfer to the Bay of Fires.
We enjoy a scenic drive winding through rich farmlands to the northern part of Mount William National Park. We begin our walking adventure from the Mt William National Park enjoying breathtaking, remote and untouched wilderness areas.
We head south discovering spectacular landscapes of remote castaway coves This area is likened to an impressionist’s palette featuring a ribbon of sapphire seas contrasting with pure white sands and burnt orange rocky outcrops. We explore scenic Boulder Point and Cobbler Rocks and look out for the local fauna coming out to graze on the marsupial lawns at Cod Bay. Our walk today is a medium grade 13kms with sand walking and rocky headlands to negotiate.
We arrive at Deep Creek for a short 15 minute transfer to our waterfront accommodation. Sit back and relax as our guides provide a delicious dinner served with Tasmanian Ninth Island wine for your enjoyment.

Day 2: Deep Creek to Ansons Bay

Walk: Approximately 14kms
6.5 hours walking with breaks
Walk: Medium grade

After a hearty breakfast, we take a short transfer back to the trail and set off south stopping at breathtaking Picnic Point, a beautiful spot to relax and a photographers paradise.
We continue on to Eddystone Point the start of the Bay of Fires Conservation area, where an impressive pink granite lighthouse built in 1889 sits on a point that juts out into the sea. We seek out the local wombats and echidnas which are prolific in this area, as well as Crested Turns searching for crabs and maybe even a pod of playful dolphins.
We finish with a 4km walk along a bush track to Ansons Bay, arriving at our waterfront Beachshack. Enjoy a delicious dinner outdoors with views over the bay served with Tasmanian Ninth Island wine and bee

Day 3: Ansons Bay to The Gardens

Walk: Approximately 11kms
5 hours walking with breaks
Walk: Medium grade

After breakfast, we continue our walk into one of the most untouched parts of the Bay of Fires.
This is a magnificent day’s walk into remote wilderness, where it is unlikely you will see another person on the beach other than those in our group. See pretty Sienna’s mermaid pool, cool lagoons and an abundance of twisted driftwood as we explore Break Yake Beach, and Garden Lagoon Beach.
We’ll stop for lunch in a picturesque location with time to explore the rock pools before walking to our final destination The Gardens. From here we join our vehicle and enjoy a short stop in the pretty fishing village of St Helens before heading back to Launceston, where our tour finishes at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston, the end of a remarkable journey. Finish time will depend on the pace of the group but will be approximately 5.30pm to 6.00pm. If booking flights please do not book before 6.30pm.
